We decided to take a family trip right after New Year’s 2015 down to Florida. I suggested we take a trip off the beaten path and just rent an Airbnb on the beach and get away from technology, phones and everything else.
On our way down there, since we drove with the dog, to kill some time I downloaded a game named “Two Dots”. Little did I know that this game was going to be the thing we all remember most from this trip.
When it was my turn to drive, my sister Jen downloaded the game since she saw me playing it and also thought it might be a good game to help speed up the time driving down.
Sooner than expected my Mother had the game on her phone as well…
My father, being stuck at work, was flying in the same day we were arriving at our getaway home. Needless to say we almost forgot to pick him up from the airport because of this game.
During the drive from the airport, dad somehow ended up with this game on his phone…
The duration of the trip was the entire family trying to beat each other’s top score. This was probably the few rare times we all competed against each other in a fun family way.
Of course we rented a boat, and jet skis. Explored museums and a bunch of other attractions, but this game is the first thing that comes up when we remember this trip.
This is also still to this day my favorite family vacation. Because we had no distractions, no plans, no itinerary… Just good old family fun.
That is what family all about be strong and together
